Thank you.

We would like to thank all tenants, employees and stakeholders who attended the review’s meetings or provided comments through the web site and information line.

Over the past two months, we have heard a diverse range of comments on how Toronto Community Housing can improve its procedures for preventing evictions and strengthen its response where tenants are vulnerable.

We appreciate your ideas and insights. They will guide us as we develop our recommendations and advice to the board of Toronto Community Housing. We are on track to submit our final report to the board later this spring.

Thank you again for your participation, your thoughtful comments, and your commitment to addressing the issues that are the focus of the review.

Hon. Patrick LeSage, QC Lynn Mahoney

On October 20, 2009, Toronto Community Housing board chair David Mitchell announced that the Honourable Patrick LeSage would conduct an independent review of the eviction of Mr. Al Gosling and the corporation’s policy for preventing evictions.

The LeSage Review of the Eviction of Al Gosling and the Eviction Prevention Policy will invite comments and input from Toronto Community Housing staff, tenants and stakeholders. The review is completely independent and Mr. LeSage will report his findings directly to the Toronto Community Housing Board.
